Learn about the Admissions process, receive Financial Aid assistance, explore academic opportunities, and learn about Student Services available to you. You can also see the beauty of our campus by participating in an optional campus tour and learning about which academic program is best for you!
Spring 2024 Schedule of Events
Student Services departments will be set up and time will be allotted for you to speak with each of them. Each department will have representatives who can answer questions and provide more information about how their services can help you! Information is provided below for each so you can get to know us better before the fair.
Accessibility Services at Northeast State offers a variety of accommodations and assistance to qualifying students who register with our office.
The Admissions Office receives and processes all admissions applications. Applications are free to complete and can be done online or in-person. Admissions and Recruiters will be on staff to walk through the admissions process, answer any questions, and explain what happens after admittance. They can also direct specific questions to the appropriate department who will also be available to speak with.
The Advising Resource Center provides academic advising, career advising and transfer advising services to students, coordinates academic advising for the new student orientation program, and manages a variety of outreach programs to promote student success.
Northeast State’s Career and Workforce Development Center serves the students and alumni of Northeast State Community College in all aspects of career counseling and professional planning. A dedicated staff is available to assist with resume development, cover letters, interviewing and job search. Additionally, the office can assist individuals with clarifying their objectives and establishing career goals, which will enable them to fulfill their personal potential. The Career and Workforce Development Center has a full range of programs and services to help you find and achieve your goals.
Counseling Services provides short-term counseling, referral, and resources for college students and Testing Services coordinates the administration of college testing. CCAMPIS is a grant funded program providing child care subsidies for eligible student parents.
Dual Enrollment is a great way to earn college credit while attending high school either on our campus or at your high school. High school students in dual enrollment programs are afforded the same educational and support services as all other students.
The Learning Center assists students in all subject areas whether it is difficulty understanding the material in class or understanding other components of completing the course (paper formatting, learning to use graphing and statistical calculators).
TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) helps students successfully persist from semester-to-semester, graduate and transfer to a 4-year college or enter a career. Eligibility to apply (must meet at least one of the following three requirements) -- First-Generation College Student based on neither parent/guardian having completed a 4-year Bachelor's Degree; Income Eligibility - meet federal income eligibility guidelines based on family size; Documented Disability based on student being registered with NeSCC Accessibility Services.

The role of the Veteran & Military Student Success Center is to serve the educational needs of prospective and enrolled service persons, veterans, their dependents/survivors, and other persons eligible to receive education benefits under various Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) programs.

From math to theater to nursing, our Academic Divisions cover a wide variety of fields to help prepare students for their dream career or continuing education. The division of Behavioral and Social Sciences provides instruction in criminal justice and criminology, economics, education, early childhood education, geography, mass and speech communications, physical education, political science, psychology, sociology and social work. Courses offered by the division are designed to fulfill the general education course requirements in technical education programs and to prepare students in the university parallel programs to transfer to four-year colleges and universities.
To meet the growing need for healthcare professionals, Northeast State’s Health Professions Division offers an associate of applied science degree in Dental Assisting. The division also offers the associate of applied science degree in Cardiovascular Technology, with Invasive and Non-Invasive options, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Paramedic, and Surgical Technology. In addition, students may obtain a technical certificate in either Dental Assisting, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT), and Paramedic.
The division of Humanities provides university parallel programs designed to transfer to senior institutions and general education courses required in selected technical education academic programs. The division of Humanities provides instruction in English, foreign languages, humanities, history, and theatre.
The Mathematics division offers courses in mathematics and pre-engineering. Curriculum guides are available for students who plan to transfer to a four-year school and complete a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, several engineering fields, industrial technology, surveying and mapping, accounting, or business. Faculty advisors assist students with planning for completion of a transfer program in any of these areas as well students who are undecided about their future degree and want to complete a University Parallel “general” major.
The purpose of the division of Science is to provide instruction in astronomy, biology, chemistry, physics, physical science, and health-related pre-professional programs. Courses offered by the division are designed to fulfill the general education course requirements in technical and health-related programs and to prepare students in the university parallel program for transfer to four-year colleges and universities.
The purpose of the Technical Education Division is to provide academic programs designed for students who desire to enter an occupational career field in business, industry or government immediately after graduation.
The Division also facilitates specialized training for the private and public sector.
