Northeast State Health Professions programs

The purpose of the Health Professions Division is to provide instruction in Cardiovascular Technology - Invasive Option, Cardiovascular Technology - Non-Invasive Option, Dental Assisting, Emergency Medical Technology, Advanced Emergency Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing , Paramedic, and Surgical Technology, which prepares students to function in the role of a specialized healthcare provider. Completion of these programs enables the student to take certification and/or licensure examinations required in these healthcare fields.

Northeast State presents an affordable and convenient way to meet your educational goals and obtain the skills needed for a career in the healthcare industry.

To meet the growing need for healthcare professionals, The Northeast State’s Health Professions Division offers an associate of applied science degree (AAS) in Dental Assisting, Cardiovascular Technology, with Invasive and Non-Invasive options, Medical Laboratory Technology, Paramedic, and Surgical Technology.

In addition, students may obtain a technical certificate in either Dental Assisting, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT), or Paramedic.

Associate of science degrees in pre-health profession programs that are designed to transfer to four-year colleges and universities are also offered at Northeast State. Please see the Science Division for more information.
