Sociology is a social science that focuses on society, human social behavior, patterns of social relationships, social interaction, and aspects of culture associated with everyday life. Sociology courses such as Introduction to Sociology and Social Problems prepare students in the Sociology emphasis to transition into upper-level programs in order to pursue careers in these fields including social services/public services, program support, education, and social science researcher.
