Northeast State Community College - We're here to get you there

Immediate assistanceIf you are a victim of sexual assault, prioritize your safety and seek medical attention immediately. Local hospitals, such as those within the Ballad Health network, have staff trained to assist you, including SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) nurses who can conduct free forensic medical examinations.

Preserving evidence is crucial; avoid eating, drinking, smoking, urinating, bathing or showering, douching, brushing your teeth, or changing your clothes. Document details of the assault to aid in future police reports. Consider undergoing a Sexual Assault Forensic Evidence kit examination, regardless of pursuing a criminal investigation.
