At Northeast State, all degree and certificate seeking students are required to speak with an academic advisor prior to registering for classes. An academic advisor will make sure you are in the right major, and help you plan your schedule based on what you need to graduate! On your registration day you will speak one on one with an advisor and register for your classes. You may also meet with staff from the Financial Aid Office to ensure your financial aid is ready. Of course, we welcome you to explore campus and stop by any other offices you wish to visit as well.
Advising and registration day for incoming students will be offered in person. Students who do not feel comfortable attending in person can request to meet with an advisor via zoom by emailing advising@NortheastState.edu.
Advising and registration day information for summer and fall 2023 incoming students will be mailed to students beginning March 2023. Students admitted after the initial communication dates will receive information within one week of their official acceptance to Northeast State.
If the date and time you registered for no longer works for your schedule, please request an alternate date by emailing admissions@NortheastState.edu.

No! We understand that a traditional new student orientation experience can lead students to feel overwhelmed receiving so much information at once. That is why we are breaking out your advising and registration portion from the traditional welcome and campus information event. After you attend the advising and registration day and register for your classes, you can visit our Campus Resources website and Virtual Backpack to explore the numerous support services available!
